| Cheerios is
releasing a cereal box featuring veteran athletes from the 28th National
Veterans Wheelchair Games as part of a national campaign organized by the
Veterans' Administration, VA Canteen Service, and General Mills. QoLT co-director
Dr. Rory Cooper is one of the athletes featured on this Cheerios Box.
The Cheerios Boxes will be
available through VA Canteen Services and Bases Exchanges on March 5, 2009,
to coincide with a major fund raising announcement for VA affiliated Fischer
Houses. The VA is also organizing a "Box Signing event" where Dr. Cooper
will appear at one of the Pittsburgh VA Medical Centers to autograph cereal
boxes as well as "sports hero cards" that are also being released as part
of the campaign. |
